Note: We allow online giving as a convenience for those who live outside the Treasure Valley or who cannot attend worship in person due to extenuating circumstances. At the same time, we want to preserve the biblical doctrine of tithing/giving as a public acknowledgment of Christ as King. This is what the Magi were doing when they brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus, the newborn King (Mt 2:1-2, 11). Like the Magi, we want to honor Christ as King both personally and publicly. That is why during worship we come forward, singing the Doxology or Gloria Patri, to present our tithes and offerings. The amount you give is private, but the act of giving and acknowledging Christ as King is public.
